This Ofqual Regulated qualification provides learners with the necessary skills and knowledge required to pursue a career in psychology or progress onto a bachelor’s degree in a related field. With a focus on both theoretical and practical aspects of psychology, this diploma is designed to equip learners with the ability to understand and apply psychological concepts across a variety of contexts and scenarios.
With 240 credits, this Level 5 Extended Diploma is equivalent to a Foundation Degree (the first two years of a bachelor’s degree). Upon completion, learners can progress to the final year of a related Honours Degree at one of our university partners, either through direct entry or credit transfer. Learners who achieve a minimum of 120 credits at Level 4 but do not complete the full Extended Diploma will be awarded the QUALIFI Level 4 Diploma in Psychology.
The QUALIFI Level 5 Extended Diploma in Psychology is taught through distance learning with the support of experienced tutors and access to a comprehensive online learning portal. The course covers a wide range of topics including social psychology, cognition and development, neuroscience, attachment theory, schizophrenia, criminological psychology, substance abuse, and contemporary debates in psychology.
