Supporting Early Learners in Nachdaduwa
At Chestnut Foundation, we believe that meaningful educational support begins in the earliest years. When young children are equipped with the right tools, it helps build confidence, curiosity, and a positive start to their learning journey.
Recently, a school supplies distribution programme was carried out for the children of Shanthiwadi Sigithi Uyana Preschool in Nachdaduwa, Anuradhapura. This initiative focused on supporting children from underprivileged backgrounds by providing essential learning materials needed for their day-to-day preschool activities.
The programme was made possible through the full financial sponsorship of Chestnut Foundation, as part of the Foundation’s continued efforts to expand access to education in underserved communities across Sri Lanka. By supporting early childhood centres, the Foundation aims to strengthen the foundation upon which lifelong learning is built.
For the young learners at Shanthiwadi Sigithi Uyana Preschool, this support goes beyond school supplies – it represents encouragement, care, and the reassurance that their education is valued.
